people do have the right to look after themselves. But I believe they should look after others too.

scrooges journal december 24, 1843
my nephew came to my office today with his little, Christmas blessing. Ba' humbug!! Christmas is a Ba' humbug! Some kids wanted me to donate to the poor, why not just send them to a prison? The poor take up too much space in this world. People just waste their time on buying gifts for other people. I don't care about them. Some other kid tried to sing a Christmas Carol. I hate Christmas Carols, they're so outrageous! Ba' Humbug!
