for kino I would say he wants to get his son an education so he could read books and write.Juana wants to help her son heal from the scorpion bite. the Priest wants his collect from the blessing Kino's family.The doctor just wants the pearl for all the money it possesses.the towns people also want the money and they think it's unfair that he got it and they did not. the neighbors want whats best for Kino.
